News from the Counseling Department
Summer Credit Recovery:  For those students in need of credit recovery for failed courses, Fayette County will offer a credit recovery program from June 4 - July 12.   Details follow below.  For complete information, go to the FCBOE website.  
  • Hours - 8:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday through ThursdayLocation - Open Campus site at the LaFayette Educational Center in Fayetteville
  • Students must provide own transportation
  • Individualized instruction through Odysseyware computer program with teacher support
  • Cost - $375 for up to 3 courses
  • Fees due at time of registration
  • Fees paid in cash, VISA or MasterCard only -     NO PERSONAL CHECKS
  • Registration forms MUST be signed by student's counselor

Dual Enrollment
The dual enrollment program provides an option for students who are interested in taking college classes while in high school. Please access the following sites/documents for more information about the dual enrollment program and McIntosh High School.

GAcollege411 is a mentor system. A mentor system is an online resource to help students and their families select a college, apply for admission, and plan to finance higher education. GAcollege411 offers access to comprehensive information about colleges, universities, and technical colleges in Georgia. For more information on any of the Guidance programs, please call the McIntosh Counseling Office at 770-631-3232 .

  1. Go to www.GAcollege 411.org
  2. Log On or Create an Account
  3. Click on College Planning
  4. Scroll to Applications and Transcripts
  5. Go to Request & Track Your Transcript (review the information on this page for accuracy; if inaccurate, go to My Portfolio, then My Profile to correct mistakes)
  6. Choose the college as the recipient of your transcript
  7. Click continue.
  8. Check to make sure that it has been sent by clicking on History In the upper left corner
* If you cannot send transcripts, please check to make sure that you have linked your account to McIntosh High School in the "My Profile" section of "My Portfolio."
